As an Business Development & Innovation Manager (m/f/diverse), you will play an active role in shaping the future business development of Lufthansa Aviation Training. You will identify new market opportunities, technologies, and partnerships; evaluate their benefits for our company; and support the development of new solutions from the initial idea through to the proof of concept.

  • Identification of new business and growth areas in aviation training
  • Conducting market, trend, and competitive analyses with a focus on new technologies and methods
  • Initiating, supporting, and managing innovation and research projects
  • Developing and implementing pilot projects and proofs of concept
  • Ensuring a transparent innovation and decision-making process
  • Establishing an Innovation Competence Center
  • Maintaining a network of internal experts as well as technology partners, startups, universities, and research institutions
  • Representing LAT at innovation events, conferences, and industry networks
  • Managing the Research, Development & Strategy portfolio
  • Providing advice on financing and funding for innovation initiatives

What you bring to the table
  • A successfully completed college degree, preferably in business, innovation management, engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in business development, innovation management, strategy, or a comparable field
  • Interest in new technologies, particularly in the areas of digitalization, AI, and automation
  • Experience in developing business cases and evaluating new business opportunities
  • Strong communication and networking skills
  • A structured, independent, and solution-oriented approach to work
  • Very good German and English language skills
