YOUR MISSION

As a Master's Student at MQI, your mission is to advance the development of cutting-edge quantum sensors. You will translate research into practical innovations, contributing directly to the next generation of quantum technologies. Your tasks are to push the limits of high-yield coupling at scale and bridge the gap between the lab and production.
• Developing 3D printed optics to push the boundaries of sensor performance: From simulation to design to hands-on testing
• Hands-on assembly and alignment of optical components requiring precision and patience
• Characterization of cutting-edge quantum sensors - from measurements to development of analysis frameworks
• Ensuring comprehensive documentation of processes, measurements, and results

YOUR PROFILE

You are a motivated and ambitious physics and engineering student with a passion for quantum technology and/or integrated photonics. Your technical expertise, combined with a proactive mindset, enables you to develop innovative solutions and guide a team to success. Requirements:
• We are looking for a TUM master's student (master's thesis candidates are also very welcome)
• An independent and agile mind with a lot of self-initiative
• Product-driven mentality with a focus on customer needs
• Highly motivated, committed, and willing to go the extra mile
• Hands-on lab experience with a steady hand and eye for detail
• Nice to have: Experience with optical/photonic simulation tools
