Want hands-on experience with real quantum hardware? Join an innovative quantum technology environment at the Garching Research Campus, working alongside a team pushing the boundaries of quantum sensing. We are looking for a motivated TUM Master student to support us in performing cryogenic measurements to characterize our sensors, and to help further develop our unique automatic cryogenic prober - a one-of-a-kind system in the field.

Your tasks include:

• Room temperature and cryogenic (2.5 Kelvin) characterisation of single photon detectors
• Upgrading and troubleshooting of our automatic cryogenic prober, including electrical, mechanical and software components
• Close collaboration with our Fabrication team to improve sensor performance based on your measurement results
• Data analysis and statistics to visualize detector characteristics and fabrication yield

Your profile:

• Enrolled student at TUM in Electrical Engineering, Physics or QST
• You speak english fluently
• Reliable, precise, and comfortable with hands-on engineering work
• Structured and detail-oriented working style
• Experience with electronics & mechanical assembly, laboratory equipment or programming measurements is a plus
