Senior European Training & Talent Development Coordinator

Duties & Responsibilities:

The Senior Coordinator Training and Talent Development position at Lincoln International provides an excellent opportunity to work in a demanding, yet supportive, team-oriented environment. The scope of the role combines some elements to strategically enhance existing efforts, launch new initiatives, as well as operationally and administratively execute current programmes. The Senior Coordinator Training and Talent Development serves as a liaison between the firm's global and European Talent and HR Team and designated country and sector organisations. This role will report directly into the Global Talent team based in the U.S., with dotted line reporting relationships and meaningful interaction with the talent team in Europe.

Based in Frankfurt, Germany, the Senior Coordinator Training and Talent Development is responsible for the coordination of development activities for all employees- bankers (including M&A, CAG, FSG, PFA and VOG), intern and graduate bankers as well as functional and administrative staff in Europe. More specifically, we envision the Senior Coordinator Training and Talent Development will be tasked with the following:

  • Manage and deliver the Annual Development Cycle for Europe with a particular focus on external training:
    • Analysing needs/demand for both pre-assigned and complementary training, incl technical, finance, soft skills, coaching
    • Develop and manage the annual externally delivered training curriculum and calendar
    • Ensure regular cadence of communication of programmes, curriculum and calendar with key stakeholders including employees as well as team and firm leadership
    • Source new programmes, instructors, and providers in collaboration with local and global Talent Development teams to continually enhance and expand our learning and development offerings
    • Manage, coordinate and execute training delivery in Europe
    • Manage and maintain training records
    • Conduct and evaluate training evaluation, incl follow up action
    • Prepare, manage, and monitor training budgets to support learning and development objectives
    • Manage key provider relationships, including cost analyses and contractual considerations
    • Collaborate closely with senior leaders, bankers, functional and administrative heads, and local, European, and global Talent Development teams to develop strategic learning content, introduce innovative learning solutions and AI-driven approaches, create engaging training materials, and continuously improve programmes through participant feedback and ongoing assessment
    • Run the banker training champions effort, incl hosting regular calls and actioning on relevant follow up items
  • Support the execution of Lincoln University, the firm's global corporate learning management system ("LMS")
    • Operate as a Project Manager for continuous customization and user-development of the LMS platform
    • Lincoln U, including HRIS and other integrations, Collaborate with the global Talent function as well as the internal Talent Development Senior Coordinator to ensure the effective administration and ongoing management of the LMS, including HRIS and other system integrations
    • Maintain a globally centralized record of local programming, including quarterly continuing education, third-party coaching and regulatory and compliance training by office
    • Further develop and leverage quarterly European Training KPIs, including by group, country, level and Europe overall
    • Maintain accurate system reporting in Lincoln U to enable year-end reporting on training activities on both the group and individual level
    • Analyse annual training plans to make recommendations on training topics for future years
    • Track and report to key stakeholders, including leadership, on Lincoln University outcomes (e.g., local adoption, utilization)
  • Coordinate with Compliance to implement and execute compliance-related training
  • Provide analytical support to the Talent function, delivering insights to inform talent and learning strategies
    • Analyse, communicate and follow up on training related KPIs and management information
    • Collaborate and provide input to financial reporting and overall budgeting
    • Various analytical analyses, as requested

We anticipate this role will evolve as the Senior Coordinator Training and Talent Development makes strategic recommendations on how the role can best serve their designated business unit(s) and the broader organization.

Qualifications:

Interested candidates should meet the following requirements:

Professional and Cultural Characteristics:

  • Experience of organizing, coordinating and running large scale, pan European training programmes within a professional services organization, ideally within banking
  • Existing network of providers to leverage
  • Experience of LMS, and managing the development approach through similar tools
  • Excellent project management, organization and prioritization skills, ability to adapt to business changes
  • Ability and experience in leveraging AI
  • Entrepreneurial professional with strong listening skills, who enjoys problem solving and presenting recommendations that will benefit the full organization

Other Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a Development and Training function within a professional services environment
  • University degree, ideally business-related
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (clear, simple, situational, multi-level, multi-cultural)
  • Proficient with IT, AI, and Systems to ensure a continuous development of our LMS and user experience, as well as back-end reporting
  • Strong PowerPoint skills with the ability to craft clear narratives and visually compelling slides that communicate key messages effectively
  • Excellent analytical skills, comfortable with data and excel, manipulating data and working with charts
  • Languages: Fluent German and English language skills, another European language (e.g. French) will be of advantage
