Expert Project Subcontracting - Mechanical (m/f/d)

• Responsibility for the preparation of tenders, negotiation, awarding, and execution of works contracts and works-and-supply contracts with a value in the multi million euro range.
• Monitoring and progress control of subcontractor performance with focus on mechanical systems.
• Commercial handling of subcontractor claims.
• Supplement and change management to/from subcontractors.
• Claim management in close cooperation with contract management.
• Minimizing risks that may arise from subcontractor delays through proactive planning and communication.
• Negotiating contract conclusions.
• Close cooperation with engineering, design, quality management, planning, and project management to ensure smooth project execution.
• Continuous improvement management through regular feedback and implementation of lessons learned.
• Regular reporting to the Project Procurement Manager.

Show your expertise

• Completed technical education or degree in mechanical engineering or similar.
• Several years' experience in project management in large-scale projects, preferably in the construction or plant engineering industry.
• Solid knowledge in relevant mechanical discipline, e.g. HVAC and waste water.
• Understanding of project execution models (EPC, EPCM, etc.).
• Very good IT skills, particularly MS Office and ERP systems (ideally SAP S/4HANA, SAP Ariba, RIB iTWO).
• Knowledge of handling contracts in accordance with VOB, BGB or HOAI is an advantages.
• Proficient in both English and German, spoken and written.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel nationally, with on-site work depending on the project phase.
• Decisiveness, openness to change, strong interpersonal skills, and a solution-oriented working style.
