As a Backend Engineer, you'll have real ownership over core backend systems at an early stage, working alongside a tight-knit team to ship production-grade software in a high-stakes financial services environment.

As a Backend Engineer, you'll have real ownership over core backend systems at an early stage, working alongside a tight-knit team to ship production-grade software in a high-stakes financial services environment.
What You'll Do
- Own and manage backend infrastructure for permissions, auditability, traceability, and observability
- Design and oversee deployment architectures for both hosted and self-hosted environments using infrastructure-as-code tools
- Continuously improve system reliability, performance, and security in production
- Partner closely with product teams to deliver new features while maintaining rigorous quality standards
- Drive AI-native development practices that enable rapid, high-quality releases
Required:
- 1-6 years of backend development experience
- Proficiency in TypeScript and NestJS for building backend services
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and Prisma in production-grade environments
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi to manage deployments
Nice to have / Tech context:
- Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools (e.g. Inngest) or agentic frameworks
- Experience working in fintech, private markets, or enterprise SaaS environments
- Comfort operating in a fast-moving, early-stage startup environment with a high degree of autonomy
- Salary: €70,000 - €110,000 per year, depending on experience
- Visa sponsorship is available
- Early-stage equity opportunity (founding team hire)
