Platform Developer - Hyperspace CI/CD

We're looking for a Platform Developer - Hyperspace CI/CD to join our team in Frankfurt in a Hybrid working model . In this role, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of the Hyperspace Portal - the developer-facing interface of SAP's internal development platform serving over 50,000 developers. You will focus on implementing CI/CD pipelines and tooling, ensuring seamless onboarding experiences and robust delivery processes. This position provides the opportunity to work on high-impact development initiatives, optimize deployment workflows and create value by enhancing automation and scalability across engineering operations. Responsibilities Design, develop and deploy frontend and backend components for CI/CD and pipeline creation within the Hyperspace Portal Lead technical architecture planning, estimation and technical breakdown of development tasks Conduct technical investigations and resolve system defects during development and post-release phases Design and implement scalable CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment speed and reliability Optimize and maintain existing CI/CD workflows for better performance and maintainability Integrate CI/CD pipelines into the Hyperspace Portal and related infrastructure tools Provide operational support during business hours to address incidents and onboarding requests Develop automation scripts to streamline recurring operational tasks and improve efficiency Document technical solutions and produce onboarding guides and knowledge-sharing materials Requirements Strong experience in software development with proficiency in Golang, JavaScript, Python or similar programming languages Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts with hands-on experience implementing pipelines Familiarity with Kubernetes architecture and resource modeling Proficiency in Git, Docker and related tooling for development lifecycle management Knowledge of agile methodologies and experience working in iterative development environments Strong problem-solving and technical investigation skills Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written Experience in producing technical documentation and architecture diagrams Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices Nice to have Experience with SAP platforms or large-scale internal developer platforms Knowledge of Golang as a primary development language Prior experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems
