Project Engineer, Laboratory Billing & KV/KBV Solutions

The role

As a Project Engineer specialising in Laboratory Billing, you will implement and configure Clinisys solutions supporting German laboratory invoicing and reimbursement workflows. This role requires practical knowledge of KV and KBV billing processes and is intended for candidates with direct experience of specialist laboratory billing.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver implementation services covering requirements analysis, gap-fit workshops, billing configuration, testing and validation support.

• Analyse laboratory invoicing workflows and translate KV/KBV requirements into appropriate software configurations.

• Configure billing rules, customer and payer requirements, invoicing processes and associated laboratory workflows.

• Manage assigned project tasks or small implementation projects, documenting decisions, risks and progress.

• Deliver customer training, project handovers, system updates and upgrades.

• Work with Project Management, Customer Services, Support, Development and Sales to resolve billing-related requirements.

• Practical experience of German laboratory billing, invoicing and reimbursement processes.

• Demonstrable knowledge of KV and KBV billing requirements within the German healthcare environment.

• Experience configuring billing, invoicing, LIS, LIMS or comparable healthcare software.

• Understanding of laboratory processes and the relationship between test workflows, billing rules and invoice generation.

• Experience with requirements gathering, system testing, validation and customer implementation.

• Fluent German and professional proficiency in English.

• Durchführung von Implementierungsprojekten, einschließlich Anforderungsanalyse, Gap-Fit-Workshops, Konfiguration der Abrechnung, Testmanagement und Unterstützung bei der Validierung.

• Analyse von Laborabrechnungsprozessen und Überführung von KV-/KBV-Anforderungen in geeignete Softwarekonfigurationen.

• Konfiguration von Abrechnungsregeln sowie kunden- und kostenträgerspezifischen Anforderungen, Rechnungsprozessen und den zugehörigen Laborabläufen.

• Steuerung zugewiesener Projektaufgaben oder kleinerer Implementierungsprojekte einschließlich Dokumentation von Entscheidungen, Risiken und Projektfortschritten.

• Durchführung von Kundenschulungen, Projektübergaben sowie Systemupdates und Upgrades.

• Enge Zusammenarbeit mit den Teams aus Projektmanagement, Customer Services, Support, Entwicklung und Vertrieb zur Umsetzung abrechnungsbezogener Anforderungen.

• Praktische Erfahrung mit deutschen Prozessen der Laborabrechnung, Rechnungsstellung und Vergütung.

• Fundierte Kenntnisse der KV- und KBV-Abrechnungsanforderungen im deutschen Gesundheitswesen.

• Erfahrung in der Konfiguration von Abrechnungs-, Fakturierungs-, LIS-, LIMS- oder vergleichbaren Gesundheitssystemen.

• Gutes Verständnis von Laborprozessen und dem Zusammenspiel von Testabläufen, Abrechnungsregeln und Rechnungserstellung.

• Erfahrung in der Anforderungsaufnahme, im Systemtest, in der Validierung und in kundenbezogenen Implementierungsprojekten.

• Fließende Deutschkenntnisse sowie gute berufsbezogene Kenntnisse in Englisch.
